It started out as a cold, but sunny morning.
We biked from the Linn of Dee car park to Derry lodge, and started walking towards a big patch of bog.
We carried on walking, until we found a big boulder with enough room for me to sit on. There we had a small snack, and then got walking again. We hiked through the moss, and came to a path. It zigzagged up the side of the mountain, and soon we were having lunch at the summit.
When we came down, mum wanted us to go down to the river (which I forgot to mention), and she got soaked. We walked down to where the bog was, and mum stepped in a deep part. When we got back to the bikes, mum took off her boot, and a stream of water came out from it. Then we were ready to go.
We biked back to the car park, and drove home.
